Coil-Shiftable Completion System

Kobold delivers the field proven ShortSHIFT system to the industry, with a faster, more reliable and cost-effective sleeves and field service.

Coil-Shiftable Sleeves

  • Allows for safer rig handling and much more efficient transport

  • Maintains wellbore pressure integrity years into the lifecycle of the well

Industry’s shortest
and lightest sleeves

Box-by-box configuration
(Patent-Pending)

  • Save drilling rig time, approx. 3 minutes/stage

  • Provides hands free onsite logistics savings:

    • Pre-torquing the sleeve to the casing in a controlled environment at the casing manufacturer’s facility

    • Eliminates one connection/potential leak point per stage

Bottomhole Assembly

Delivers superior performance with positive rapid locating capability

  • Achieve high stage counts with fastest average stage-to-stage transition time in the industry

Built with high quality erosion
resistant components only
limited by:

  • Frac rate and pressure is dictated by wellbore construction

  • Sand density and stage volumes dictated by the customer

  • No frac rate limitations when using the ShortSHIFT BHA:

    • Capable of delivering frac rates limited only by wellbore construction

    • Operate efficiently with low volume water requirements

Mode Selector

Option to integrate the Mode Selector to immediately close ShortSHIFT sleeve after frac, and immediately releases from closed sleeve after frac without cycling coiled-tubing

  • Saves cycles and eliminates the risk of the BHA disengaging with the sleeve locate profile

  • Beneficial on high differential wells where cycling can be problematic during equalization and erosion damage can be high

Flow-Through BHA

Onsite availability of the industry’s only Flow-Through tool, providing unrestricted forward/reverse flow for superior wellbore cleaning to execute the following applications:

  • No confirmation run required

  • Reopening sleeves in a subsequent run

  • Casing deformation mitigation - slimmest Patented OD packer element in the industry

  • Remediation/workover applications

  • Wells with high degree of casing deformation and/or debris
